Online Backup Message??

Hello,

My Online backup Message never seems to change or update. It always reads "Available space 6.9 GB, Total space 39.0 GB",

I know my weekly BU files are now smaller than this and am not sure that I even have a 39 GB capacity. How do I verify what is really going and what my actually storage capacity actually is??

Thank you, jbsloop

Re: Online Backup Message??

I do not use 360, so others may be able to verify/correct my next statement/suggestion.

Log into your Norton Account and look at your current subscription information. It may list your current backup usage and total capacity.

As to the space used, if you have not changed many or any files between the backups, there would not be much change in the backup size.

Hello jbsloop

There are many reasons for why the space is showing more than you're using. The most likely is you have more than one backup set available but are only using one. Another may be that the quota itself is off as a result of a purge that timed out. If you can send me a private message, containing the below items, I can get it checked out:

  • The email address associated to your Norton account
  • A link to this forum post so I have a point of reference.

Re: Online Backup Message??

Wesley,

I hate to sound like a newbee, but I am. So how do I send a private message to you versus a public post and also link it to my post question??

Also, I've eliminated all my backup sets except for one small one for diagnostic purposes.

Thx, jbsloop

Re: Online Backup Message??

When you click on a persons name in the right hand corner, under contact you will find the option to "Send this user a private message".  Hope this helps.

Re: Online Backup Message??

Hello jbsloop

You should now see the correct quota. Please let us know how things look.

If it has resolved your matter mark the post as solved. You can find instructions on how to do that in this forum help reference.
