Why Norton Backup when....

According to sorces all normal pc;s have a built in backup system all thanks to Microsoft. If one has a home made PC then I could understand  why they might want to use Norton Backup.

Thus, if a person uses such please explain why I need to use Norton Backup as well. It nearly soundls like a great deal of dis space would be out of use when it need not be.

Hello Littlethunder,

Norton Online Backup is specifically that, an online backup.  What happens when your hard drive crashes or becomes corrupt.  If your data is backed up using the one through Microsoft that is stored locally to your PC.  Additionally if you had a natural disaster or your computer was stolen and you had no access to the old hard drive for data retrieval, Norton Online Backup is off site from your location to enable you to restore your data no matter where you are.
