After you do your full computer backup then can you set it to just do incremental backups

Computer info: HP Pavilion Desktop

Windows 7

Using Chrome v.28

Software Norton 360 2013 - 3 computers using 25 G online storage

QUESTION: After I installed the new version of N360, I did a full computer backup. Now can I set it to just do incremental backups? If it does the whole computer everytime it does a backup - I will run out of storage very very quickly!

I do hope that Norton would not use this to force me to buy more storage? I have run 2 backups (2 different named sets, but all the same files) and I have already used over 14G of memory.

I look forward to any help you can give me.

Sincerely,

Hello Marie,

Once the first back up is ran the software will scan the computer checking for new and changed files that need to be backed up. Only backing them up and adding them to your set. If the files are not changed in 90 days the software will redownload them to the server to keep a current copy available for Restore. This does not mean that it will back the information up twice but will write over the top, using the same space.

Take note that each set you create is considered its own separate backup set. It will take up space accordingly. Unless you're backing up multiple computers there really isn't a need to create multiple backup sets on the same computer. Is there a particular reason why you chose to go that route?
