Norton Online Backup - Unable to Purge Files

The business of purging old files seems to be a bit 'hit and miss'

A client oif mine has used 99% of her storage space (don't ask) so I have been trying to purge some of the old backup files and folders..

Occasionally, it seems to work but it generally fails.

I tried this on my NOB where only 23% of the space is used and, again, the result iis 'Hit & Miss'

Could  you please answer a few basic questions:

1/ Is it the case that only files which have been deleted from the computer may be purged?

2/ If so, what about files and folders which have simply been moved?

3/ Is there a limit to the number and/or size of files which can be deleted at any one time?

4/ Is it possible to purge complete folders/sibfolders or it it necessary to select every file?

Regards

Re: Norton Online Backup - Unable to Purge Files

On Saturday morning, I was able to successfully purge files from my computer and the client's computer.

It seems that many of these confusions arise from the performance of the Norton Online Backup server.
