Today my Live Update installed a ~130 MB update and patch to Norton 360 on Windows 10. I later rebooted the system, and now I cannot access the usual interface to Norton 360. When I click on the icon, at first nothing happens, and eventually I get a pop-up window saying "You Are Protected". There seems to be no way to access the usual interface to run the normal tasks. This pop-up window has a "settings" and "help" control, but neither one does anything. Did this update fail to install properly? Can I roll back to yesterday's version, or do I need to uninstall the product altogether?
When I got the patch, I ran LiveUpdate a second time and got another patch. I installed that and ran LiveUpdate again and go No Updates available message. Then I restarted the computer, even though Norton says it is not necessary. But it can make a difference. Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
i noticed after my update today ( applied patch ) went thru the update and restart it took me to the newer screen ( not classic view)
i check in settings and its set for classic view , so not sure what happened
