1. Full System scan and background scan run; 2. norton's heuristic behavior

Hello,

1).  I'm just curious why the norton background scan be running,  if I've already set to do a full system scan, while I'm idle and doing something else away from my PC. I can understand the background scan if I'm idle. . . watching an online movie or doing a non-internet activity. Is this normal or do I need to reset or adjust something? Will the background scan interfere with an activated full system scan?

2). Kindly explain what norton's "heuristic behavior" mean. I notice some positive changes in the way my norton functions, especially in auto-live Update, where I usually do it  in-between multi-tasking. I do this every 5 or ten minutes and sometimes, if I know I will be busy on the internet, I do a quick scan 1 or 2 times in 5 hours. It  only takes 5 minutes for me after emptying cache, web history and temp folders.

If heuristic behavior mean that norton adapts automatically due to my own norton routine which is  outside of norton's auto set-up to guard my PC. . . then it makes sense.

Thank you!
