Hi All,
Ever since a message popped up 3 days ago asking if I still wanted to continue as the NIS 2009 Certificate is not valid. "Do you still want to continue? Yes No Cancel", the following has occurred:
1. After clicking on Symantec Response on the One Click Support, it opens IE8 with the Menu Toolbar Disabled and Greyed Out;
2. A Red X displays on the NIS tray icon. After clicking on it, the Intrustion Prevention System Add-On is Disabled.
3. The Status Bar is unchecked.
This is the only time it happens--when I access Symantec Response from the One Click Support. I then have to:
i) Reset IE8 via Advanced Tab in Internet Options.
II) Then I have to Enable NIS 2009 IPS by clicking on Fix Now.
III) After Restarting IE8, I go through the same steps I set up after initially installing IE8. Gets annoying!
I can open IE8 from Start without any of these problems. So it is only .
Has anyone ever experienced this problem?
FYI, I did read through the IE8 and NIS 2009 posted queries.
My Computer Information:
- NIS 2009 16.5.0.135 ~ One Click Support
- IE8 (Final Version)
- Windows XP SP3
- Do a Full System Scan daily
