16.1.0.33: symantec Framework Service Error

First of all, my C.P.U. was flutuation about 090% for a few hours and might I add my computer was -and is - laghing super-heavily; if I click on a Web Link, it would take about five minutes just to change!  (If someone could provide me with the N.I.S. 2008 Web Link I would be greatful).  Then, after the few hours, I ran Norton LiveUpdate; it Checked for Updates, Downloaded the Update - but did not Process it [W.P.D.].  The Process process went on for fifteen minutes, afterwhich, I got this Message (see Picture 01 below).  Then, my Windows Internet Explorer decided Not to Respond.  I chose then, to Re-start my computer.  And I just go more applications of Norton - maybe not all of Norton - decided they would Not Respond either.  All-in-all, from me Running Norton LiveUpdate, to pressing Re-start, it took 045minutes for my computer to Re-start and boot-up again (see Last Picture).
