1user/3pcs compared to 3 users

Okay this may seem like a dumb question but I cant find the answer anywhere? I need to buy new protection and want to get the Norton 360. I need to be able to put it on 3 computers. Question- Do I buy 1-user for up to 3pcs or do I buy the 3 user one. Dont know the difference between 3 computers and 3 users. Is there a difference? Last years box just said for 3 computers but when I looked on-line the 3.0 versions either say 3 users or 1-user for 3pcs. Which do I need? There is quite a big price difference.
