2 subscriptions only want 1

I purchased a new laptop and put norton on it thinking it was added to my account but it started a new account which i didn’t want, Why

Did you create a new Norton Account with a different email address? Or are you referring to having started a new subscription?

Are there differences in the product you already had and the new one? ie 360 Premium or Deluxe? Did you have available activations on your old subscription?

Have you been charged for a new subscription?

I still had 6 devices and I thought that is what I was adding the laptop to not starting a new subscription

So when you look in your Norton Account > My Subscriptions, are you now seeing 2 active subscriptions?

Was a payment made for this new subscription? Check with your bank/ credit card to see if you have been charged. Did you get an email receipt/ confirmation of this new subscription?

If you can confirm that you did have a second subscription started, and that you were charged for it, you can request a refund here.

Then you can try installing on the new computer from your Norton Account again.
