I'm not tech savvy, so please excuse. I had Norton Antivirus 2008. I just renewed it last month (saw it hit my bank account on and paid). Today there was (as there has been for a month) a popup that said I could upgrade to 2009 at no charge. So I clicked it. It said it uninstalled my 2008 and put 2009 in place. It's now telling me I only have a 15 day trial!!! As I'm already paid up on my 2008 through 2010, that's kind of annoying. I clicked their help and searched and it said to go to the top right of the screen and click to get to a link concerning my subscription and to try to syncronize with their server that way.
There is no sub-link to the resouce they said to go to up in the right corner of the screen.
I don't use IE, so I can't use their Chat service. I asked for a callback from their phone service, and it said the last call was answered in about a minute. That was over an hour ago. I need to make sure I have antivirus on this machine for the kid before I go out of town soon. I was not unhappy with the 2008, as all we do is some email and reading the news online, but thought it might be good to get the "new bells and whistles" version. And am seriously regretting it now. If all I could get was a 15 day trial of 2009 and have to pay another $34 I don't want it. I want my old 2008 back (that's paid for for a year!).
Can someone advise how I would syncronize with their server (if that's what needs to be done), given that their online instructions point me to links that do not appear on my screen?
