2010 Suggestions Redux

Sorry about this, but I think this suggestion is so important it needs to be seen.

We need a way to turn off NIS or NAV without turning off each individual component.  This is vital for identifying whether or not any component of these two products might be causing a problem on a computer.  Admittedly, turning off the product does not remove registry entries or reassociate files; but it gives the consumer a way to see if the active part of these products is why his or her system has been misbehaving.

Currently, the solution is to turn off each separate component.  Now, this is useful when we get to the refinement stage of searching for a problem.  However, it is not helpful at all initially.  In fact, what particular section needs to be disabled to guarantee that NIS or NAV has been the equivalent of "shut down"?  No of us know the answer.  What if we leave on Identity Safe?  Spam check?  Something else?  How many places and which places must we click to turn off the product?

Do you see the problem?
