21.0.1.3 Problems Since Upgrade

My PC has been unstable since upgrading to 20.0.1.3. Nothing else has been changed except the upgrade.

Today I had a terrible time getting it to boot and to connect to my network.

I've noticed, several times, that live update hasn't been working automatically.

I get the message "We are unable to proceed with Norton account at this time. Please try later" when I click on Account.

Is a clean install of NIS called for? If so, is there a link to the full version? Is an uninstall via the Windows uninstall good enough, or must it be completely removed via the eraser?

Thanks.   :smileyhappy:

Hi Spotteddog,

Let's try this order:

Please run LiveUpdate (rebooting when requested) until Live Update responds "no updates found".

If no improvement reboot your system

If no improvement select Support from the main page of NIS and then select Get Support.  Let it run and se if it finds any errors or fixes something in your installation.

If no improvement, run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool  Please Export your ID Safe Data (if you use it) prior to running this tool and also run LiveUpdate again as suggested above.

If no improvement, Export your ID Safe ( per above), uninstall via Control Panel, Reboot, run the Norton Removal Tool, reinstall NIS and follow the LiveUpdate procedure. Clean install as we know it!

Let us know how you get on.
