As in past versions I have had my Task Scheduling of Scans set to Manual. However, today I noticed in my History that this new version seems to be running Quick Scans automatically and randomly, without any notice it is doing so. Double checked my Task Scheduling that IT IS SET TO MANUAL.
This update has been nothing but trouble, starting with a lengthy and erratic install- which didn't give me any option to Install Later- it just started on it's own, took over 30 minutes and locked up my computer resources as it sluggishly installed and the need to restart, again taking another 20 minutes after Windows opened to finish installing. Then, slow updates of Norton Vault and Toolbar on Firefox and Chrome.
Never had any problems with prior updates over the years, virtually silent and unobtrusive.
An the new UI- horrible- everything just jumbled all over, very awkward to find settings and controls compared to last version.
