What is their exact names?

By Kaspersky: Packed.Win32.VBCrypt.k, Backdoor.Win32.VB.brg, not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.FakeInstaller.a

Do you have the symantec names?

How can I have Syamantec names when Symantec doasn’t recognyze them???

Hmmm... Good point.  L.o.l.!

Have you done a Full System Scan in Safe Mode with Norton?

Are you joking??? when I scan these files with NIS 2009 it shows that these files are clean!!! and why I have to scan my machin in safe mode???

I did a Search on their Web Site and I only found the middle one, and, even at that, it said no information was available.

Are you sure that these are real?  Are you sure you have given the correct names?

Are you sure this is a legitimate site?  It doesn't pass my spelling test for analysis.  Could be a bunch of HS drop-outs who think they know what they're doing.

Looks like they have just been Added today.

And you should Scan in Safe Mode because Windows only start necessary applications.

That's what I was thinking, too.

symantec seems to think it is a Legit. Web Site: http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=virustotal.com.

Don't trust Safe Web yet; they're in beta.

Remember that the site www.kupz1.net still gets Safe Web's approval rating, yet they are a veritable continent of malware.

I guess their strategy is that Safe Web isn't "real" yet so no one should be relying on it for actual safe decisions.

Hi

Can I ask,

1. Are you just wondering why Norton is not detecting them, as you know the files involved.   OR

2. How do I find any other files or registry keys that may be involved and remove them.

Quads

I have these files in my special folder, I’ m not infected with these files!!! but every day when I scan these files they are undetected!!! ok now my NIS 2009 updatet minute ago, I scanned these files again and they are still undetected!!  I am sure these files are real viruses and if you don;t believe this I can send them and please run them on your computer… with Norton 2009 installed…

You guys seriously don't know www.virustotal.com ?? :smileysurprised:

It's a VERY populair and well known website to double-check your anti-virus program.

There surely isn't anything strange or malicious about www.virustotal.com

Virustotal is completely legit and highly reputable site. I see one file is a keygen. Did you download a crack for any software? Have you tried putting Heuristics on Aggressive yet?

Don’t you know that every file submitted to www.virustotal.com is automatically submitted to all AV vendros, count Symantec???

This utility should remove them.

I tried aggresive heuristic…but it dont’t reacts… what is faile name it doasn’t matter, I can rename it to “Symantec” if you want…
