Every time I open Norton I see the same alert - “Your Protection Report has arrived!”. Displaying it removes the alert until the next time. Am I doomed to get the same stupid report every day for the rest of my life?
Should be a button of some sort, which when pressed, should take you to the report which is now on line & you will then have to sign into your account to view the actual report. Think this report is only issued perhaps once a month, the ‘old’ version of Norton it was available when ever info required & needed no notification fro

You are missing the point. I display the report every time. That should mark it as read. It does until the next time I open Norton. The alert is back.
All: Having looked at a few things on my Windows install of Norton 360, older version 22.24.8.36, I’m finding the only REAL way of clearing the data linked to the protection report would be clearing the Norton 360 program “cache”. I haven’t found a way of doing that to date. The report will replicate itself with updated data when its due, most likely every 30 calendar days. That is programmed into the product. Doing a product suggestion is the most likely best way to get the attention of Norton regarding the issue.
I DID find there is a ton of data within Norton regarding features that I don’t use, aka: Driver Updater, Software Updater, Smart Scan, etc. I’m almost sure that removing it will also remove that data from history as well. I still have one laptop with version 25.xx that I intend to remove so I will play with that later and see if removing that data changes anything. I will make sure to report what I find back here for reference.
