About a week ago, after using NIS successfully since 2009, I started seeing this error 3043,1. I was using Norton Internet Security 2011, am now on 2012 (19.1.1.3) with all updates loaded, have done a full system scan, have downloaded and installed all the latest windows XP Home updates.
Anyway, a bit of a recap of the past week. I've had this error show up at least a dozen times now. I've had to remove and reinstall norton at least five times, and this morning I saw a new error (I didn't think to write it down) but it came immediately after a complete removal and reinstallation of NIS and required me to restart my computer.
I'm getting more than a little frustrated. I used to use Sophos antivirus, but that was back in 2008 and it's fully removed. I've not had any issues with malware (that I know of).
This is getting frustrating as every morning when I login I've been getting these errors, and I need to spend at least 45 minutes going through these steps again. Then it will happen again at some point during the day. I need a real fix, not a bandaid solution - removing and reinstalling is clearly not working, so something else is going on.
Any help would be appreciated.
