A couple of months ...
I have resolved this issue -- no thanks to e-mail support who had me trying various scripted "solutions" --- I changed the backup drive to be my G drive [a Corsair flash], saved the settings, then went back and reverted to my M drive.... just completed a full backup!!
No idea why or how, but it worked.
Good to hear, thanx for your feedback
Norton 360 version 2 does not recognize that my M drive [a USB firelight external] is connected. It is.
My Computer recognizes it --- I can see the files on it; Vista's Back-up works on it; I can manually move or copy files to it; Even Norton sees it when I set-up a back-up, it just refuses to write to it - as of May 9. It worked perfectly before then.
I ran a support scan --- no problems. I checked Device Manager --- no problems. If I check the last back-up details in Norton, it says: "Date of last backup: 12/31/1969 2:00PM" Obviously, that is incorrect. The solution is to be sure that my destination drive is connected and then to try again. It is and I have - several times; same result.
Using Vista Ultimate SP1 ... any ideas? The rest of the program is functioning normally.
For how long has Norton 360 v2 been installed?
