A few weeks ago I purchased and installed Norton 360 Deluxe on a laptop.
The laptop had security ultra preinstalled when I purchased the laptop.
After the trial expired I did not purchase the security ultra .
This morning it looks like the 360 Deluxe install is gone and I got a message about the ultra trial being expired.
Logged into my Norton account, looked at my devices and it say issue found.
"Your computer protection is at risk. Open Norton Security on your computer to resolve the issue."
The N360Downloader.exe is in my downloads folder, there is a "Norton Security" folder in the program files folder, guessing that is from the ultra, not sure what to look for to see the 360 stuff.
Does this happen a lot?
Do I just reinstall and hope it stays, or try to get my money back and look for something else?
Guess I will have to try to contact a human at Norton.
Note: when you're in Chat dialog & want to connect with a human agent & see Type your message here... => type "Live Agent" until you see We are connecting you with a human agent...
Would have though that when I installed Norton 360 Deluxe it would have looked to see if other VP software was installed (especially another Norton product) and let me know if I needed to uninstall first. Foolish me.
The product key is showing when I log into my Norton account, I blacked it out in the screen shot because probably not something that should be shared with the entire planet.
The email with the key did not disappear, not sure where that come from, and the key in the email matches the key displayed in my account.
I am just trying to figure out how antivirus protection software, that has been installed and working for 2 weeks can just disappear.
Guess I will have to try to contact a human at Norton. Not giving myself very good odds on that one.
If you have the product key for the 360 Deluxe you purchased, you just need to enter that key at www.norton.com/setup. That will take care of registering the key in your Norton Account and downloading, installing, and activating the correct version of 360 on your system. No need to worry about uninstalling the old Ultra version, as the installer will do that if necessary before installing the new product.
