hi tanders101 - sorry to hear about the threats... those .gen viruses get changed and updated very often with a design to defeat definition-based antivirus programs. you can try increase the heuristics settings and/or pair AV with another malware solution, but you could be dealing with a threat that landed on your system some time ago and the dropper (a benign file that serves as the conduit for landing threats onto your system) is still present. more good info on trojans and the consequences located at:

try downloading 360 V2 from:

http://shop.symantecstore.com/store/symnahho/en_US/ContentTheme/ThemeID.106300/pbPage.Trialware_en_US

you current license will be identified during the setup and whatever existing 360 V1 subscription is left should be reflected in V2.

let us know how that goes.

This is the second time N360 has allowed virus/trojan's to attack my computer.  I had to run a copy (recommended by eBay forum) of "Counterspy" to find that I had Xupiter and Trojan-Dowloader.Gen running on my machine.  Neither of these are new threats.  Why would Norton not find these?

I tried to upgrade (several months ago after the last infection) to 360 V2, but both times the install would hang or error out, so I had to reload my original 360 from the original package again.  I am currently running Norton 360 Ver. 1.3.2.4.

I have been a loyal Norton customer for years, but am starting to question the value.  Support could be better with English fluent staff.
