I have had lots of trouble recently, I had some popup last week in Chinese, I clicked the x straight away however ever since I have had loads of problems, every time I restart it takes me 35 minutes for windows to start, I couldn't run 360 had to uninstall it a few times and reinstall before I could even run a scan, I have now been able to start a scan however it gets to *checking for; security risk, OrphanInf* and wont go past this point, it has been hanging now for around 4 hours, I have had to restart twice now each time it stops at exactly the same file number.
Really at a loss what to do know, I can't wait wait 35 minutes every time I want to turn my computer on, and I am a it concerned that I can't complete a scan, obviously something is hiding somewhere in my system.
It sounds like there may be some malware on your computer. If the Norton 360 program will not complete a scan in normal mode, you may wish to see if a scan can be completed in safe mode.
You may also want to try downloading and running the Norton Power Eraser tool. You can download it from www.norton.com/npe
Because Norton Power Eraser uses aggressive methods to detect threats, there is a risk that it can select some legitimate programs for removal. You should use this tool very carefully.
I suggest you to download and run Norton Power Eraser tool to remove the threats from your computer. If you are not able to run this tool in Normal mode, you can run it in Safe mode. No need to uninstall your existing N360 to run this.
