360 memory hog?

SOmething is out of gontrol on two computers, win XP and win7.  Both have lost all free space on Hard drive, should be 250 GB, with 40gb used. Now N360_Backup is 170 GB and no disk space left.  Has anyone else seen this? any answers?

I think I have turned Norton 360 backup off on the XP machine,  I deleted N360_backup, got back 170 GB disk space, and things seem to be working better.  The win7 is too logey to respond tonight.

I think Norton 360 was in an uncontrolled backup loop.  It would backup to the C drive in Windows XP, then notice that there was a huge file that hadn't been backed up and backup again until there was no rational space left on the C Drive.

The windows 7 issue seemed to have something to do with Google Earth, though I use Google Earth every day on other computers. . .

I don't like google, because I found several things google had downloaded to my pc, things I had clicked on such as the little bubbles when marking a spot on a map.  I deleted all that and got rid of google and was surprised at how much space I had left on my C drive.  If you're running the auto back up in norton and backing up your entire system on your Cdrive that would take up a lot of space as well.  When I run the back up, I save certain files (documents and photos) to a removable disk.  This keeps my free space free of clutter.  I have the recovery disks for any programs should I need to reinstall any of those.  I bought my pc in sept 2007, 160 gb hard drive and have 38 gb remaining.
