My privacy information alerts no longer pop up on top of the window any more. I believe they used to with v 1.0 or NIS. Is there any way to fix this? It works, but shows up in the task bar or underneath the window and I don't notice it until I close the window.
What is Eavesdropping protection, and will it slow my system down?
What is SONAR?
Thanks!
I am refering to the ‘Add-on Pack’ v. 2.0. 'Web Browsing Privacy Control Options", which was also in v 1.0. I don’t have any cards set up, but I have several five or six digit numbers entered there… I am still occasionally recieving private info alerts in the red and blue box, with a ‘block once (recommended)’ option highlighted. In 360 v 1.0 they popped up on top of the window. Then, before I began using 2.0 they started popping up under the window. Now, with 2.0 they still occasionally pop up under the window. Sorry, but I don’t know how to take a ‘screen shot’.
With respect to private information, do you have Identity cards set up? If not, then you aren't tracking that information in version 2. If you are seeing a window behind, it would be interesting to see a screenshot of this.
Eavesdroping protection (formerly refered to as Crimeware protection in Norton Confidential 1.0) is specifc to protection around keyloggers, screen shot trackers, etc. It's protection against certain attacks that are "listening in" to your activity.
SONAR is a part of one of our heuristics technologies. It's intended use is to track down entry vectors for threats. To essentially know where threats are coming from to better protect the customer.
