aha

try downloading the latest version from the Symantec website.

Same problem here.

I used the Norton removal tool and followed the instructions after the reboot. Downloaded the installer from the url provided, and installed the base software. Tried to install the add-on pack by clicking the "Install Add-on Pack" link from within the Norton 360 interface, started getting the "Download already completed" Live update does not help.

Followed the same process under XP, able to to intstall and update to the latest version. Looks like the urls point to the wrong repository or something. How do I update to the latest version under Vista?

My version information

OS:                  Vista Home premium 32 bit

Norton 360:      2.2.0.2

Add-on pack:   2.1.0.55

Please remove all with the Norton Removal Tool

Than download the trial version of N360.

Ok tried that, and able to install to latest 2.0.0.242. Thanks for the tip.

However, got a new problem now. Windows security centre reports that Firewall and Malware protection is off. Windows firewall and defender have been disabled since I installed Norton 360 about six months ago, never had this issue before.

Vista doesnt seem to "see" Norton 360 after this upgrade. Any clues?

It appears your issue with Windows Vista Security Center is a known problem and Symantec is working with Microsoft to resolve it.

Sorry,

Moved to a new thread for better exposure.
