I have been messing with this for days.. New install of win 7 & norton 360 V4..
I have been trying to get the media center extenders working.. 2 linksys dma2100's no problem.. The xbox, I get the main splash screen when the media center extender starts then that is all. The xbox freezes. I can terminate the extender session and control the xbox.. Meaning that the xbox is not frozen, only the media center session..
Disabling the firewall in N360 corrects the problem. Microsoft states that N360 is smart enough to allow an extender session.. Seems not the case.
I need some help to allow the extender to run but not shut off the firewall all together.. A program called TcpView shows all kinds of ports open to the xbox.
In the norton logs, I found entries that coinside with the times I tried to get an extender sessions going.. screen shots attached.
How should I proceed?
