After successfully upgrading 360 version 1 to version 2 using message about the free upgrade on 2 of 3 family computers (XP Home and XP Tablet, both SP3), I tried to do the 3rd upgrade to a computer running XP Pro/SP3 (desktop). What a nightmare!
Repeatedly, the link wouldn't run (got message that download couldn't complete because "internet connection not detected" in IE, versus that I was blocked in Firefox. I attempted to get help 3 times from folks in India. All they were able to do is restart my computer and run Removal tool....which accomplished nothing!!!
Finally, I was able to get the downloaded files on the tablet to execute on the desktop and load and seems to be working, but then I decided to add the add-on tool. Well, same exact issues that it won't download. But I also cannot get the file on the tablet to execute on the desktop.
Anyone got any suggestions?? I'm frankly so frustrated with my "free upgrade" that I seriously thinking of dumping it for something else in January that isn't such a memory hog. I'd appreciate any thoughts.
From where did you try to download the add-on pack ? You can try to download again from here.
