I've had some issues with the new Western Digital 3TB External Drive I just bought and thought I could use NU 15 to diagnose the problem. However, neither Norton Utilities nor Norton Internet Security recognizes that the drive even exists.
I have Windows 7 Professional 64bit and can use the disk manager there to work with the drive and work with the petitions just fine. I can change the type of drive from simple to dynamic and back.
But nothing that I have done seems to trigger the ability to see the drive with Norton.
did you format the drive to any file system, like NTFS? If you did not do that, Windows Explorer and all the programs you installed won't recognize the drive (meaning you will not be able to access the drive), only if you format it.
