Hi,
New to the forum; I have noticed 2 of my computers (laptop and desktop) were running significantly slower since I installed NIS 2009 (3-license package). A check of the running processes shows that there are four instances of ccSvcHst running at the same time: two processes under the name of the current user logged in and two under the SYSTEM user name, and the two processes running under each user name, have two different versions. So, the current logged in user is running two different versions of the ccSvcsHst process, and the SYSTEM user is also running the same two versions. The versions are 107.0.6.4, and 108.1.0.24.
Both computers have NSW 2008 Premier. The laptop, which is running Vista SP1, had no issues during the NIS 2009 install, and reported that it uninstalled the conflicting components of NSW 2008. The desktop, running XP Home SP3, had an issue on the first attempt at installing NIS 2009, and then successfully installed on the second attempt.
I have searched to forums to see if someone else had this problem but didn't find anything that quite nailed my issue, other than one solution which proposed completely eliminating the NSW 2008 permanently, which I'd prefer to avoid, since it does offer some useful features and programs not included with NIS 2009.
I would appreciate any help regarding solutions to this problem. I've attached a screenshot of the task manager and NSW ProcessViewer from the laptop, showing the four processes.
