6S Apple Phone not connecting to internet which may be Firewall issue?

I printed instructions telling me to turn off the Firewall, but when I type the same password I use to get into Norton 360, it does not open. Is it the same password?

If the issue resolved itself, there may have been some temporary server issues between your device and the internet. Or there was some product update that got installed to resolve the issue.

Glad things are working again.

Today after struggling for two days to resolve my internet connecting issue, Norton360 works on my 6S Apple iPhone. I am ecstatic but I don’t know how it got fixed? A real mystery! Perhaps my phone was in low mode for cellular and is now back to normal?

Your images do not show the password request message. Please try to post that.

Also, try turning off the Auto Protect feature to see if you are asked for a password.

Did you set up a Settings Password for your Norton product? If so, that is probably the password being requested.

When I try to turn off the firewall in Norton 360 on my Windows 10 desktop, I get the message: Norton 360 requires a password for access. Please enter your password. (I sent a screenshot, but not certain it downloaded properly.)

You are talking about two separate issues here. One with a PC, and one on mobile devices. Let's deal with each one separately.

On the PC. There is no password associated with the firewall in Norton 360. The best way to help diagnose this is the next time you see this password request, please take a screenshot and post it here. Use the instructions to post screenshots that can be found here

Unfortunately, it did not work. When I'm on my Desktop, and get into the Norton 360 My Norton, a firewall does exist in Norton 360 with a hidden password that is not the same number of digits as in My Norton password. I tried entering my internet password and that did not work either.

Frustrating that one of my 6s iPhone connects to the internet, but not the other. It must be a problem because a solution is available. In it the directions, one has to turn off the firewall. Now I'm wondering if I also have to turn off the Windows 10 firewall along with the Norton 360 Firewall?

How are you using your desktop for your internet access on your iPhone?

Are you sure you are not trying to connect to the router for your home network? If that is the issue, you need to enter the router's WPA2 password in the iPhone's Wifi settings. Nothing to do with any Norton passwords.

Sorry, that idea did not work. I think I have to turn off the firewall in my Windows10 desktop computer that is connected to the internet. The 6s Apple iphone accessed the internet wirelessly through the desktop. I do have the ability to turn off the firewall on the desk if I understood what password works. Wouldn’t it be the same password as Norton 360 - which does not work.

I too have an iPhone 6S and have no difficulty accessing the internet.

There is no firewall in the iOS version of 360. What you might try is turning off the Web Protection feature.

There is no password required to open your 360 for iOS app once it has been installed and activated.
