Please note that v19.00 (rel. 21-Feb-2019) was the previous stable release.  All releases between v19.00 and v21.05 have been alpha or beta releases.  The home page at https://www.7-zip.org/ currently states this utility is compatible with Win XP to Win 10 and I can't see any mention of Win 11 in the change log, but the MajorGeeks download page <here> says v21.05 requires Win 7 to Win 11.

The stable version of 7-Zip v21.07 released 26-Dec-2021.

When I I uploaded the 64-bit 7z2107-x64.exe installer to VirusTotal.com for analysis today the detection rate at https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/0b461f0a0eccfc4f39733a80d70fd1210fdd69f600fb6b657e03940a734e5fc1 was only 1/63 (currently flagged by SecureAge APEX as suspicious / malicious).

as you know....give it a day or two for Norton to report good reputation

Nobody wants me to update it! Microsoft tried to stop me updating my installation and then Norton stepped in -- not even 5 Norton users! Well there's two now! I've been using it since I can't remember when!
