Hi. I just started using Norton Mobile Security on my Android phone a couple of weeks ago and have a few questions.
If anyone could help I would appreciate it.
1 - My phone has 2 SD cards. One is called internal (the SD memory inside the phone itself and not a separate memory card) and the other external (an actual micro SD card that I have plugged into the slot in the phone). There is an option in the malware scanner to scan the SD card but when set to on the scanner only scans the internal SD card and not the external. Is there any way to get the scanner to scan that card as well?
2 - Is there any way to backup and restore the call blocker blacklist? This was a feature of other call blocker apps I've used. Whenever I've had to change phones or uninstall and re-install the blocker app all I had to do was backup the blacklist to a file then used that same file to restore the list on the new phone or new app installation. I have over a dozen unwanted numbers in my blacklist and wouldn't want to enter them manually every time.
3 - Is there any way to configure the call blocker to hang up or pick up/hang up on unwanted calls instead of sending them to voice mail? Currently numbers on the blacklist are going to voice mail.
4 - Is there any way to force a live update? There doesn't seem to be any way to do it.
Thanks for the info Andmike. I don't have any applications on the external SD card so since right now only applications are scanned I guess I'm good. I was able to find the Live Update menu option and used it. The backup and restore of the blacklist and the ability to hang up on unwanted calls are definitely features that I (and probably others) would love to see so if anyone who is in contact with the development team is looking please ask them to consider these options. Thanks again.
