Thanks, Yahman, just what I was looking for. The .exe file.

I searched already through Program Files\Norton Internet Security....., no wonder I couldn't find it!!!

It's in Program Files\Symantec...., further down the list......might as well be different. LOL

Re.: Control Panel > Symantec LU:

I just checked it out and noticed that the option "Interactive Mode"

is set here under the General Tab.

So we should be off and running now!

Cheers, mate!

Hi to all,

just recently I upgraded to NIS 2008 and everything is working perfectly.

Compliments to the chefs!!!

However, for sentimental reasons only, I'm missing the "Old Style" LiveUpdate UI,

just as the ( Run > luall ) has to offer,

guess I got so used to it during NIS 2007.

So I was wondering if there was a way at all to create a shortcut of LUALL directly to the desktop

to use LU the "Old Style" instead of the new Check-, Download- and Process option?

Another question I have is regarding the Add-On Pack. How big in MB is the download?

I need to get some spare time organized, since I'm still on Dial-Up.

If I may ask Symantec....it would make me very happy indeed....

to be so kind and always include and display the download sizes

for all updates and in particular upgrades & add-ons in future.

Thanks & Cheers

If you are looking to put the shortcut to LiveUpdate on your desktop, just go to C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate and then right-click on luall.exe and select copy.

Go to your desktop and  right-click and select paste shortcut.

Also in the control panel you can customize a few settings for LiveUpdate as well.
