Accessing online backup files through internet

Hi everyone,

I have a question i'd like to ask here before (if necesarry) contacting Norton support.

I'm using Norton 360 V4, latest updates installed, all working as it should. (license valid until november of this year)

Today I visited my Norton account and saw that there is a possibility to have access to the online backup files through the internet.

I clicked on the link https://nobu.backup.com/n360 and I entered my Norton account username and password as requested in the page that followed after clicking the above link.

But instead of gaining access to my backed up files I got the message :

"Your Norton online backup license has expired"

I can click to reactivate this license but as fas as I can read, Norton says that N360 users can have access without having to buy "Norton online backup"

Can anyone help ?

I did use a trial version of Norton Online backup over a year ago (already expired, so I can understand where the message is coming from but as I said before ,should'nt it have to be possible (as mentioned on the nobu.backup site to have read access as a genuine 360 user ?)

Thanks to everyone for any kind of help

Kind regards

RHE,

This is a known issue with the way NOBU presently works. As you guessed, it looks first to see that you have an expired NOBU account and does not check to see if there is a N360 license as well. This issue is addressed in the next NOBU release which of course does not help you now.

If this is a passing curiosity for you then I hope you will be patient and we'll get the release out as soon as we get everything finalized. If you would like to try to address the issue for your account please contact me privately via either forum PM or email (my address is available in my forum profile) and I'll see if we can't get it resolved.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your reply.

I'm happy with the fact that you said it's a known issue and that you are working on it.

I was, as you guessed, indeed just curious to see how it works. It 's not as if I really need it today.

So I'll be happy to pe patient and wait for the next update of the nobu software.

But I explicitely want to thank you for offering a quicker solution, if I would have really needed it.

Much appreciated - Very good service

Kind regards
