Hi guys,
I bought and paid Norton Ghost 14 today. Together with the Order and billing email I received the activation key.
Now, as the title says, after entering the key I got an error message telling me that the key was not valid.
I checked and double-checked the digits of the key and I'm 110% sure that I did enter it the proper way.
Has anybody a solution how to fix that problem? I really would be disappointed when my money ( € 69.99) is going down the drain.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Aad
BTW, please excuse my rusty English. It has been a while since school

Hi dickevans,
I'm pretty sure that I was dealing with a reliable vendor. I bought the Ghost at the official Symantec Site.
In the meantime I found a phone number right here in the Netherlands and will give them a call first thing tomorrow morning.
And yes, I paid with a credit card.
Anyway, tnx 4 Ur reply
Kind Regards

We have a plan. Be sure they understand which version of Ghost you purchased. Keys do not work across versions.
Keep us posted

The chat link will work faster than a phone call.
I'm not sure why you got version 14 instead of Ghost 15, if you need to change the order you should get the latest version.
Hi guys,
Just called the (Dutch) service centre from Symantec. It seems that Norton Ghost can be installed on a Windows 8 machine and will work out fine. The only problem is that the activation key isn't recognized under Windows 8. That's also the case in all other versions of Norton Ghost (v 15 and below)
So, after a brief discussion I'm told that I could kiss my money Good-Bye
(LOL, no, I'll get a full Refund) within 5 business days.
The next version of Norton Ghost (v16) is expected somewhere this Year (in the Netherlands).
So, after all, the cause is the Windows version, and not the activation key.
Thanks for all your help.
Kind Regards
Aad
