I have purchased a Norton 360 box in the Mediamarkt mall in Vienna, Austria.
Currently I am on the business trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and tried to install and activate product using the key. The activation failed: “the key is not valid in the region”. What can I do? There is not any “region” inscription on the purchased product.
Norton products are region specific for legal reasons imposed by United States Export laws.
You will need to contact Norton Support to ask them for an exchange for a product key that will work in the country you will be using the product. If you travel a lot, you may be able to ask for a key that will work in multiple regions.

You are running up against the geo locking feature of Norton products. This feature had to be implemented due to export rules and other political reasons to restrict the use of US developed software.
What you need to do is contact Norton Support and explain your situation and ask them to change your subscription to one with a non geo locked product key. www.norton.com/contactcs
