First I wish to apologize for airing this question here; however I cannot find any way to email symantec since I do not currently own Norton Internet Security and therefore I do not have a serial number to enter on the email form page and the system will not let me proceed with any question without a serial number. I do not understand the rational for this since it waves off any potential customer who wishes to ask a presales question. Further, this question is extremely unlikely to be within the realm of the chat staff as they just work on a script.
My PC has multiple hard disk drives (ide, scsi, and sata) that can be powered on or off independently of one another. Each hard disk is bootable and has a different setup of software running with Windows XP Pro as the os. There is only one user (a family member) at one time and all the rest of the hardware is always the same (the same motherboard, monitor, etc). Will Norton Internet Security allow installs to my various hard disk drives or will its activation routine think they are different pc's? I need to know this before I purchase your product. I used to use your product years ago, but stopped when you introduced activation. I want to know if your product now has the capability of handling my system.
