Is there a way to add a 4th user license to a 3-user license that comes with NIS 2008/2009? Or am I limited to buying a stand-alone, single-user license?

Go to your Norton Account using this LINK, there you can find the option to purchase addition license in your current Norton program- “Protect Additional PC”
Yep that works. Thanks! But ouch, kind of pricey. I think I’m better off just going the conventional retail route.

Another possibility would be to talk/eamil Customer Support and see if you can get an interesting price for upgrading your present 3-PC version to a 5-PC version
If you started from scratch that would 5 User Pack $109.99 but they might be willing to pro-rata?

If you do buy a retail version then be careful about installing it -- don't put it on any of your existing 3 PC installations since it will not add the year to the unexpired portion; it will overwrite and start the year from the day you install.
Also bear in mind that if you install one of the multi-PC licences then all the subscriptions run from that first date.
