It may help to know if you are on N360 version 1 or version 2 and what version of Windows and Internet Explorer you are using.

Hi

Sorry should have said.

Norton 360 v2 and Windows Vista Home Premium.

Thanks

I beleive the current position with the Norton Add-On AntiSpam is that although, contrary to what has been said, it does work under VISTA it does not integrate with the mail client Windows Mail.

As a result there is no NAS icon on the toolbar but you can configure it within N360 itself. I believe you may have to make your own message rules to dump what you define in NAS as Spam into the Windows Mail Junk folder.

I do know from a very limited trial using the Add-On in VISTA Ultimate that it did add the Norton AntiSpam tag to the subject and it did dump the spam into the Windows Mail Junk folder.

I did not explore how to configure it because of the absence of the toolbar icon. I've learned a bit more recently in the NIS2009 BETA Forum where there was a message from Tim L confirming that it does work.

Thanks

Do you know if there are any plans for a patch to make it work on Vista?

I don’t know and I understand that the next version of N360 is not in beta testing yet. You could keep an eye on what develops with NIS2009 since it uses a similar add on as well.

Outlook 2003,  sp3, Outlook will not send an e-mail or go to italicized state when add in com in outlook options is checked. If I unload n360 add in pack, everything is normal, tried unchecking firewall, e-,mail protection and browser protection, still could not send.  Again, unchecking add n com option solves the problem but does not eliminate spam.

Thanks in advance,

Steve
