I want to add my wifes laptop to this my subscription. My account shows that I can have up to 3 systems.
I take it you mean to install the software on your wife's laptop under your licence for up to 3 users.
My recollection is that it is very straightforward.
Firstly however, did you set up a Norton Account when you made the first installation, say on your own desktop? You'll find a link Norton Account on one of the TABs. If you did not go ahead and do that now.
Then just go ahead and install the software on your wife's computer -- do you have the CD or a download? -- and when you are doing it it will ask about entering the licence KEY. I can't remember the details but I think that it gives you a choice to Use an existing KEY and so choose that and it will automatically go to your Norton Account -- probably asks for your ID and Password from when you set it up but it may even detect that automatically -- and find the KEY, use it and record that you have now made 2 installations.
That's roughly how I remember it but forgive me if the details are slightly different.
The very worst that can happen is that after you install the version on your wife's machine you will have a few days before you have to "register" it by entering the key and you can come back and do it.
Before you start please come back and post here the following information:
Version of Windows on your wife's laptop -- including which Service Packs have been applied (Right mouse click on the Computer icon on the desktop and select Properties and it should be there. XP has SP1, SP2 and recently SP3; VISTA has SP1 recently
Version of Norton Internet Security -- it is the current NIS 2008? Please click on Help & Support, then on About (you don't have to wait for the whirlygigs to finish) and then on the N I S tab and it's there.
It could be worth giving the same information about your own PC in case there is any advice about updates and problems etc.
Thanks,
We figured it out shortly after I made tha post.
Thanx for your update
And was it as I thought it was? Aged RAM wants to know <g>
