Adding more PC's

Does a NIS Product Key cover three more PC's, or only one?  There is no mention of the number of machines it covers in the product description.  I am trialling NIS2009 on three machines at the moment, and I'm impressed enough that I'll probably install it on a fourth and fifth machine as well, so before I click the button for an extra $49.99, I need to know if that will increase my coverage to six machines or only four.

(BTW, I abandoned Norton products mid-way through my NAV2005 subscription, so the very fact that I'm considering returning to the fold, let alone expanding its footprint across our entire household, is a testament to the giant leaps that NIS2009 has made.)

Thanks for replying.  While Symantec's products may have gotten better, I see their licensing remains as convoluted as ever - the product key I linked was the one that I was directed to when I clicked the "Protect additional PC's" button alongside any of my current "Norton Internet Security (3-User)" machines at mynortonaccount.com.

So unless there's a way to obtain upgrade pricing on additional keys, it sounds like I'm better off purchasing two 3-PC upgrade licences (2x$49.99) than one upgrade and an extra 3-PC pack ($49.99+$69.99).  Seems silly, and less convenient, but I have things I'd rather do with that extra twenty bucks.

Well I could be wrong. It was no biggie to me. I was impressed so I spent the $70 and bought the 3 license deal. I wasn’t focusing on saving money as much as I was installing a good security product on my pc.

There is also a 5 PC version for something around $109 -- I've seen it on line and I've seen it on the shelf in my local supply store.

Ah here's the link to the 5 and 10 user packs of NIS 2009, NAV2009 & N360 V2 so as you say it's a question of one of those or what you can put together.

Thanks for the pointer to the muli-user packs, but again, unless there's upgrade pricing available it's cheaper to buy two 3-PC upgrades than one 5-PC pack, and I'll still have one seat left for another machine.  Looks like that's my prefered option.

Whichever works best.
