Adding Norton Anti-virus protection for NAS Drive online 24/7

LenovoEMC px4-300d NAS setup with personal cloud. Unit comes with free McAfee ant-virus software to install on NAS unit.

I have Norton Anti-virus 3 licence, one spare.

NAS drive setup for Backups and work related data and application software is connected to internet for personal cloud.

I work contract, NAS enables me to have access 24/7 from anywhere.

My clients can also access my work and send new work on to me using NAS and personal cloud.

Since all this is automated via internet I really need to have anti-virus setup on the NAS itself.

Q. Does anybody know a way to install Norton Anti-virus directly on to the NAS.

When I am in my home office using my laptop on the network; Norton antivirus takes care of the NAS on the network.

Looking at the specs for your NAS, it appears to be running a Linux OS. NAV is only supported on Windows systems, as can be seen by checking the System Requirements tab here  http://us.norton.com/antivirus/

You can search for AV products for Linux. Just be sure what you choose can cover a server environment.

Cheers for the information, I guess that is why LenovoEMC is promoting the MacAfee Antivirus which must be compatible with the o/s.
