I'm thinking about upgrading to Norton Security from NIS21, which I currently use, so I can add two Android phones to my account. A quick question first: The phones are Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5s. They have a Verizon app pre-installed called VZ Protect. It looks like VZ Protect performs much the same functions as Norton Security would.
I know that on PCs, it is always recommended to not be running more than one security scanner in the background. Running multiple scanners simultaneously can cause various conflicts and problems. I'm wondering if the same is true of Android phones. VZ Protect cannot be uninstalled without rooting the phone (which I have no plans to do right now), but some of it's features can be turned off.
Just wondering if running Norton Security and VZ Protect simultaneously can cause any issues.
Thanks!
