Additional solution for Error: "E0BB001B: Cannot lock volume ... "

I just recently ran into this strange "E0BB001B" error on my Windows XP SP3 system after successfully using Norton Ghost 14 for quite some time.  As it turns out, somehow the following two Services were disabled on my system:

 

  • Symantec SymSnap VSS Provider
  • SymSnapService


After re-enabling these two services, Norton Ghost ran perfectly on my system.

 

Perhaps this information will be useful to others, and can be added to Symantec's solutions library:
