Adobe Acrobat Reader

Hi folks!
I have been working with Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF) document. Yesterday without thinking I stupidly turned off the computer without saving the file. Now when I try to open it an error occurs, Acrobat may not display the page correctly.
Please help! Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated,
Garry

Hey, I might well be late with the answer in this thread but maybe it would come in use to you in such cases. It may turn out into the issue like this one you had because Acrobat did some code amends to your file, which was auto-saved, and failed to save the output ones, so it shows like that. Try to open it with another editor, eg this one https://w9.pdffiller.com it will show you the file as it is so you'll see what's the problem and fix it. It's a paid one but for such a purpose you can try it from a free trial

hi!

This could be the result of a corrupt image in the document. I would try to recover pdf file. For any issues related Adobe product and services contact Adobe Support and get help by experts immediately.

Hi GarryKenzie:

Are there any images in this .PDF document? If this error only occurs when you try to open this one particular .PDF document you were viewing when you powered off your computer it's possible one of the images was corrupted and needs to be replaced as suggested <here> by Karl Heinz Kremer.

If every .PDF file you open now displays that error message see Akanchha's suggestions in Adobe Reader forum thread An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly..... on how to repair your installation.
