I am running NIS 2009 alone. I also have installed on my computer Spyware Doctor (PC Tools) and Spysweeper (Webroot). Both Spyware Doctor and Spysweeper are always shut down. I only open them for sweep back ups, only one open at a time, sweep and then shut them down and run NIS 2009 alone. (The reason I have both spywares is because NIS 2008 and earlier editions of NIS were not as effective as NIS 2009 and my subscription to Spyware Doctor ends mid 2009 and SpySweeper ends in 2011 so I figured I'd tinker around with them since I have them. I ran a complete sweep with NIS 2009 and was clean. Then I ran a complete scan with Spysweeper - Clean. When I ran a complete scan with Spyware Doctor it came up with the following:
Threat Name:Adware.Agent!sd5
Type: File
Risk Level: High
Infection: C:\Program Files\DIGStream\digstream.exe
My question is: Does anyone know of this infection ? If it isn't a false positive why didn't NIS pick it up ?
Note: PC Tools is still working on this to figure it out. I just asked this because I wanted a second opinion.
