There does not seem to be a definition for Adware.MyWebSearch on Symantec’s site. Can someone anyone find it?

Hi tech0utsider
I don't think NIS 09 even scans for MyWebSearch
It Never Has Done!
How do I know?
Coz.. When I had my old XP computer & NIS 06
A friend sent me a link - Smiley - For My Web Search through - Windows Live Messenger
Not realising My Web Search is bad ... I Installed It!
NIS 06 ...
Didn't try to stop me
And never caught it in a scan
I only found out what My Web Search really was, about 3 months later.
When my poor XP was already dead
McAfee Doesn't look for My Web Search either.
I Know This..
Because I helped someone on another forum last month.
Get rid of - My Web Search
They were using McAfee as their security
The best way of getting rid of MyWebSearch is... SUPERAntiSpyware
My WebSearch is not a big threat anyways. It does not effect your pc’s performance. It merely adds a toolbar onto IE which can easily be uninstalled via Add/Remove programs.
Thanks.
