I recently downloaded Adware Professional 5.0 and had a big problem totally missed by NIS 2011. The web based download was hijacked by a very clever rogue software program which mimicked Adware Professional 5.0. Instead of getting software which was supposed to protect from adware, my computer was infected with adware. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware removed the infected files. When I proved my case, by sending the Security History from NIS, my purchase price was immediately refunded.
Just wanted to tell my story. NIS failed to stop a major intrusion. Has anyone else ever had a problem similar to this?
