After autoupdating several years, should I uninstall/reinstall at some point for housekeeping?

I have been letting LiveUpdate update or upgrade my NS version, etc. from year to year. And I have the most current version, and all is working well. After a few years with that method do I end up with a bunch of old files that aren't used?

I'm getting ready to renew my license in a couple weeks. I was debating whether to do a reinstall/full install of the latest version this time around to have a "leaner, cleaner" program.

Would it be good at some point to uninstall, use NRT to clean it, then reinstall latest full install file to get a "virgin" install of the latest version, maybe every couple years or three? Or does the LiveUpdate process also do housekeeping and removes old files when it updates/upgrades?

Thanks.
