Note: the computer and QuickBooks was functioning properly before we installed NAV 2009.
After installing and running NAV 2009, we are unable to export report data out of QuickBooks into Excel.
Environment:
Windows XP SP3
QuickBooks Pro 2005
Excel 2003
When we go to the reports list in QuickBooks and click on export, the export dialog box opens and the only available options is for csv file. The two options for Excel are greyed out.
We have uninstalled NAV 2009. We have unistalled and re-installed QuickBooks 2005. But the export feature is still greyed out.
As a test, we also installed QuickBooks 2005 on another computer that has the same environment, except that there aren't any Norton products installed. The export function works fine on this other computer.
I'm guessing that there was a registry value that was changed or that a file shared by QuickBooks and NAV was edited during the NAV 2009 install process.
Any other suggestions?
