Please check Thunderbird is set as an allowed program - Norton Firewall?
Since a couple of days (around November 1st or 2nd 2024) I am having a similar issue, no access to Emails in Thunderbird any more. None of the firewall settings work (I have even allowed all in/outgoing connections to/from “Thunderbird.exe”) , so I had to uninstall Norton 360.
Also the GUI for the firewall settings is messed up, after pressing Save the old settings still appear. So it is hard to change those settings properly.
Dear Markus. Meanwhile I solved this bug. I’ve deactivated the following settings: Email-Protection: incomming mails POP3, IMAP4, outgoing emails SMTP and add signature. Now it works like expected. A strange resolution for a scanner. I got this bug only in the new version. I hope for an update.
Was there any response/ solution on this? I have had the same problem start at about the same time with the same solution. At first I started looking at my email as the issue and my provider says their server does not work with Norton. (a B.S. get rid of you answer) Only have this problem on one computer out of four. compared all menus side by side and are the same…?
